A sales tracker built for handymen and repair businesses
Updated October 28, 2026
QuickBizTrack is a sales log for handymen and repair pros. When a job is paid you tap who it was for, tap what it was (Service call, Repair, Install, Hourly labor, Parts), key the amount and log it from your phone in the driveway. Each customer keeps a history of the work you have done for them, and the app estimates how much to set aside for taxes.
Service buttons ready for handymen and repair businesses
A new account starts with these buttons on the Log screen, and you can add, remove and price them in Settings:
- Service call
- Repair
- Install
- Hourly labor
- Parts
Log it in the driveway, not at the kitchen table on Sunday
Handyman work gets paid in lumps: a service call here, a day of labor there, a check for parts. If you only write them down on Sunday night, some never make it. The Log screen records one in a few seconds with the amount, how you were paid (cash, card, digital or other, which covers checks) and who it was for.
The first button says One-time job for a customer you will not see again. Add your own, such as Callback, Property manager or Referral, and the screen uses your words.
Parts, labor and what you billed
QuickBizTrack records what the customer paid you, so you can log labor and parts together as one sale, or log them with the Hourly labor and Parts buttons if you want to see the split. It does not send invoices or track inventory. The cost of the parts you bought is an expense, which you enter as a yearly total on the Taxes tab.
Repeat customers and property managers
A landlord or property manager who sends you a job every month is worth more than a stranger from an ad. Save them as clients: their page shows what they have paid, how many jobs, and when you last worked for them. The Numbers screen lists regulars who are due back, so you know when to check in.
Taxes for handymen and independent tradespeople
A handyman working for themselves is generally self-employed: self-employment tax plus income tax, paid in quarterly estimates. Tools, materials, vehicle costs and insurance are expenses; enter them on the Taxes tab so the set-aside estimate is based on profit. Licensing and contractor rules vary by state, so check yours. QuickBizTrack's estimate is for planning, not tax advice.
What it does not do
QuickBizTrack does not book appointments, run payroll, track inventory, send invoices or file taxes. It records what you earn, quickly, and shows you how the business is doing.
What it costs
$9.99 a month after a 14-day free trial (a card is added to start the trial, and nothing is charged if you cancel before day 15). The tax estimate for handymen and repair businesses is on the Taxes tab; for a quick number, try the self-employed tax calculator and see the estimated tax due dates.
Common questions
How do handymen keep track of income?
Log each job when you are paid, with the customer and the amount, including cash and checks. A sales log that takes a few seconds per job, like QuickBizTrack, is easier to keep up than paper receipts and a spreadsheet.
Can I log labor and parts separately?
Yes. Use the Hourly labor and Parts buttons, or log one sale for the whole job. Either way the amount is what the customer paid you.
Does it make estimates, invoices or schedule jobs?
QuickBizTrack does not book appointments, run payroll, track inventory, send invoices or file taxes. It records what you earn, quickly, and shows you how the business is doing.
How much should a handyman set aside for taxes?
A common starting point for self-employed people is 25% to 30% of profit. At $60,000 of profit a single filer owes roughly 22% in 2026 federal tax, before state tax, and expenses like tools and materials lower it. The free calculator on this site works it out from your numbers.
Can I bring my old sales over?
Yes. Save your spreadsheet, or an export from Square or Cash App, as a CSV and import it. QuickBizTrack finds the date, amount, client and phone columns, shows a preview, and the import can be undone.
What does QuickBizTrack cost?
$9.99 a month after a 14-day free trial (a card is added to start the trial, and nothing is charged if you cancel before day 15). One plan, everything included.
